Jesus Camp

This is a short film (85 minutes) about a Pentecostal summer camp run by the Kids on Fire School of Ministry. For those wanting to get a look-see at how these charismatic, emotional evangelical groups work, you'll get it in spades with this documentary which is shot in a non-judgemental manner. (Interestingly, controversial Pastor Ted Haggard, who was busted for illicit drug use and homosexuality two months after the film was released was quick to condemn the film.)

The star of the film, if you could call her that, is over weight camp director Becky Fischer who's determined to get to as many kids as possible and I guess you could say convert them to the pentecostal way of thinking. She talks about how clever 'the Muslims' are in indoctrinating their children and turning them into suicide bombers and terrorists. It's hard to tell whether she's envious or horrified of Islamic extremism.

Wikipedia says Becky has now indefinitely stopped the camp due to the negative reactions from the film. This film will be an eye opener for those who don't know anything about this religious culture.
